Hudson River Rising is a group of women; mothers, professionals, daughters, girl friends.  We evolved out of our shared commitment to end violence against women and girls.  

Our 2012 V-Day benefit performance of "The Vagina Monologues" raised nearly $20,000, for our beneficiary, Hope's Door. Hope's Door is a private, non-profit organization that works to end domestic violence and to empower survivors to achieve safety, independence and healing from the trauma of abuse.  The outcome of our effort enabled Hope's Door to open an additional service center promising to reach a greater number of women & children victimized by domestic violence.  

Now we are RISING because we are over it! We stand with more than one billion women and girls on the planet, and with those who love them, to say ENOUGH! Our individual reasons for risinging differs. Our experiences and histories are varied, but our desire for all women and girls to feel safe, empowered and proud unites us.
